Courtroom Clerk Lead, you will assist courtroom services
supervisors with the completion, coordination, and documentation of
training courtroom clerks. This position helps develop skilled
knowledgeable courtroom clerks that meet the objective of providing
accurate and efficient courtroom and judicial division coverage
through onboarding and training. You will be the primary educator
of the general CRS policies and procedures and focused case-type

- Five years of legal office or court-related experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- A combination of post-secondary education and job-related
experience may substitute for the required experience on a
year-for-year basisWe Also Value
- Experience with multiple court case types (e.g., juvenile,
civil, criminal, family, probate, etc.)
- Proficient knowledge in Civil, Probate, and/or Mental Health
case typesJob Contributions
- Prepare and provide one-on-one and/or group training including
cross-training to Courtroom Clerks
- Review, audit, and monitor trainee Clerks' work product for
completion, accuracy, and productivity in accordance with
established performance expectations
- Document the progress of each trainee and document training
status reports including milestone accomplishments and areas of
concern needing correction to include in Clerks' introductory
performance reviews
- Assign and manage workload; may assist with scheduling court
coverage and monitoring work and time restraint compliance
- May assist with the Courtroom Clerk recruitment process
- Perform quality assurance audits to ensure the highest quality
and timeliness standards are being met; may perform quality
assurance audits at supervisor request; maintains statistical data
for status reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of information and materials in
accordance with policies, court orders, statutes, and rules
- Serve as a Courtroom Clerk, providing court coverage when
needed and assisting with Courtroom Services policy/procedure
updatesWorking Conditions
- Work is primarily performed in an office setting that consists
of a high-volume and fast-paced environment with long periods of
sitting while completing computer activities
- This position requires travel to and from job-related locations
during the course of a scheduled workday; subject to County
policies regarding use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles
used on County business
- Ability to lift boxes or other items up to 20 pounds floor to
waist; and carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds from one courthouse
to another
- Ability to frequently ascend and descend 1-3 steps to the work
