We are seeking an experienced, go-getter Assistant Dispatch Manager to support our ready mix dispatch operations. The ideal candidate will assist in coordinating the movement of goods and services, ensuring timely and efficient delivery while maintaining high standards of customer service.*Prior ready mix experience and Command Alkon experience required.NO recruiters, please!

  • Prior ready mix experience and Command Alkon experience required.
  • 5-7 Years of dispatching experience, specifically within transportation (dispatching trucks/loads), including but not limited to order taking, scheduling, shipping and personnel management
  • Must be willing to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in using Command Alkon.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Previous experience in logistics or dispatch operations is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be willing to work nights and/or weekends as needed.Some job duties include but are not limited to:
    • Assist the Dispatch Manager in overseeing daily dispatch operations, including oversight of dispatch team.
    • Coordinate with drivers and dispatch personnel to ensure timely deliveries.
    • Monitor and track shipments to ensure compliance with schedules.
    • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
    • Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and prepare reports as needed.
    • Support the training and development of dispatch staff.
