This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.Job TypeUnclassifiedDepartmentCorrectional HealthAbout the PositionThe Correctional Health Services (CHS) Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of all clinical and medical activities within the Maricopa County Jail facilities. As CMO, you will be responsible for ensuring that all medical needs of the incarcerated population are met, and that care is provided in a safe and ethical manner, meeting Constitutional requirements. You will also oversee the development and implementation of policies, standard operating procedures, and clinical protocols related to inmate/patient medical care. The CHS Director and CMO are responsible for maintaining a care delivery system that is fiscally responsible and meets legal and regulatory requirements.
