Job Description:
Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: IR
Technologist Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours, 0730-1800, 4 days/week
Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS,
Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) Must-Have: LEVEL I
trauma experience required Scrub experience preferred Neuro
experience if possible but not required Description: The position
requires experience in performing interventional radiology
procedures. Candidates must possess trauma experience. Familiarity
with a variety of procedures including GI/GJ tubes, ports,
angiograms, lumbar punctures, myelograms, nephrostomy tubes,
stents, IVC filters, and blood patches is essential. Experience
with endovascular procedures, embolizations, and stroke treatment
is a plus. Sedation cases involve 2 registered nurses and a
radiologic technologist alongside the physician. There is a
potential requirement for weekends, possibly some Saturdays. The
charting system used is Cerner. Candidates should be prepared for
the possibility of up to 4 shifts being canceled during the
assignment. Emergency radiology experience is strongly preferred.
Effective communication and teamwork skills are critical.
