Medical Assistant, Back Office, you will perform general medical
assistant functions to support patient care and treatment and
assist all office personnel as needed. As a Medical Assistant, you
should have: - Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish,
with the ability to communicate effectively with patients,
providers, and external partners. - Certified Medical Assistant
(CMA, RMA, or equivalent) or diploma/certificate from an accredited
Medical Assistant training program. - 1-2 years of front and/or
back office clinical experience in a healthcare or medical practice
setting. - Proficient in clinical and office equipment, including
stethoscopes, blood pressure monitors, EMR systems, scanners,
printers, faxes, copiers, and telephones. - Capable of multitasking
in a fast-paced clinical environment, including physical tasks such
as lifting or moving up to 50 pounds and traveling between clinic
sites as assigned. Your essential duties and responsibilities as a
Medical Assistant: - Provide direct patient care - room patients,
obtain vitals, perform urine tests, administer injections, assist
with anemia/iron management, refill prescriptions, and educate
patients. - Coordinate clinical testing and procedures - schedule
and process 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, procedures, specimen
collection, and courier transport. - Document and communicate
clinical information - interview patients, update EMR/medication
lists, process dictation and reports, and notify physicians of
abnormal findings or status changes. - Manage scheduling, recalls,
and patient follow-up - optimize provider schedules, handle
recalls/no-shows, process hospital disposition reports, and follow
up with patients and PCPs. - Perform administrative, compliance,
and operational support - handle clerical tasks, maintain
supplies/equipment, process medical records per HIPAA, support
chart purging, and adhere to policies (including floating to other
