ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Prescott, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/24/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Tele Float Pool Stepdown Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Every other weekend requirement • Float pool position covering MedSurg Tele and PCU across both campuses including inpatients holding in ED • Nurse to patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6 • Must pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score prior to signing contract • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS • Minimum 1 year PCU experience required • Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin • Must be able to interpret cardiac strips independently • Float assignments notified 2 hours prior to shift start via text message • Travel between campuses may be required (20-25 minutes distance) • Work with geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-procedural cardiac patients, post-MI, post-cardiac catheterization, and CABG post-op patients • Manage groin sites in stepdown unit and care for patients on respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow • Charting system: Cerner • Dress code: Solid color professional scrubs (changing to Navy scrubs in October) • 8-hour general hospital orientation plus 12-hour shifts at West MedTele and PCU for unit-specific training • Included in permanent staff holiday rotation • Schedule published 6 weeks out for 4-week periods with flexibility required Facility: This regional medical center operates across multiple campuses providing comprehensive acute care services.
