The RN will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment. How you grow, learn and thrive matters here. • Educational and career development options, including tuition and certification reimbursement, scholarship opportunities • Staff Safety (a wearable badge that allows nurses to quickly and discreetly call for help when safety is a concern) • Differentials for night/weekend shifts, higher education, certifications and various lead roles (for eligible positions) • Malpractice liability insurance • Loan forgiveness through the New Mexico Higher Education Department • EPIC electronic charting system Type of Opportunity: Full time FTE: 0.9 Job Exempt: No Work Shift: Varied Days and Hours (United States of America) Job Description: The General Medical Registered Nurse (RN) responsibilities include: • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient’s physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs. • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. • Safely administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and report adverse reactions. • Continuously monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and provide timely interventions. • Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. • Provide education to patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans. • Adhere to infection prevention protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). • Respond effectively to medical emergencies, including initiating CPR or other life-saving measures when necessary.
