from you. Job Information Provides support with the daily
activities of a medical clinic and/or procedure suite including
checking in patients, obtaining vitals, assisting patients to dress
for procedure, discharging patients, coordinating driver for
patient transport, etc. Interacts with patients, staff, hospital
personnel, and other professionals to improve patient satisfaction
and quality control of patient health information. Provides
superior patient care while maintaining a comfortable, orderly,
safe, and clean environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Makes sure all initial consultations, pertinent notes, lab slips,
radiology and pathology reports are available to the physician
prior to patient arrival. Prepares dressing room, procedure room
and equipment for each new patient. Greets patients and escorts
them to dressing rooms. Reviews patient history and updates as
needed. Takes vitals and documents in Athena. Performs urine
toxicity screenings. Measures and records vital signs. Retrieves
laboratory test results and patient files. Answers telephone and
responds to inquiry, directs caller to appropriate personnel. Sets
up for in-office injections including trigger point, bursa, and
occipital nerve blocks. Assists physician as needed during
procedure, monitors patient in recovery area. Assures all facets of
services are provided in a safe, professional, and efficient
manner. Conducts reminder calls to patients for pain management
procedures. Ensures all activities of the department are performed
in accordance with all company policies and procedures. Orders and
maintains inventory of supplies. Ensures confidentiality and the
integrity of patient information in accordance with HIPAA
guidelines. Any other duties as assigned. Qualifications Reports to
work regularly without undue tardiness. Maintains positive attitude
and demonstrates the utmost in professionalism. Dresses
appropriately and professionally Completes work accurately and in a
timely manner. Excellent oral, written & telephone communication
skills, along with tact, diplomacy, and strong customer service
orientation. Prioritizes work activities and receives and assumes
multiple job duties. Maintains effective working relationships with
physicians, administration, BBS staff members, and hospital
personnel. Education & Experience Graduate of an accredited program
in Medical Assisting or Certified Nursing Assistant. 2 years'
experience in out/inpatient pain management setting preferred. Comp
